La flama va arribar a la plaça d’Octavià on l’esperaven més de dues-centes persones que han presenciat la festa de benvinguda amb actuacions del Grup Mediterrània i els Castellers de Sant Cugat, la tradicional lectura del manifest i l’espectacle de foc dels Diables. Un any més, la Comissió de la Flama del Canigó d’Òmnium Cultural ha recordat el simbolisme de la fama per als Països Catalans. Després de baixar des del cim del Canigó i la Flama ha arribat a Sant Cugat i s’ha passejat pels carrers de la ciutat fins arribar a la plaça d’Octavià.<\/p>\n

A les set del vespre ha començat la celebració a la plaça on el Grup Mediterrània, els Bastoners de Sant Cugat, els Castellers de Sant Cugat i l’Entitat Sardanista de la ciutat han escalfat motors abans de la lectura del manifest i la posterior encesa de la foguera de Sant Joan. D’altra banda, el grup Crema Catalana ha amenitzat la revetlla de Sant Joan organitzada per l’Ajuntament al parc Ramon Barnils. També hi ha hagut festa grossa amb les respectives revetlles al Casal Cultural de Mira-sol i la plaça Maria Antònia de les Planes.<\/p>\n
