Van voler destacar tamb\u00e9 el seu car\u00e0cter sat\u00edric i sempre innovador, cr\u00edtic amb els poders establerts d\u2019\u00e0mbit local, nacional i internacional, que utilitzant un llenguatge c\u00f2mic amb girs i paraules pr\u00f2pies del Camp de Tarragona, contribueix al desenvolupament de la llengua i la cultura.<\/p>\n<p>En la glosa de Zacar\u00edas Henar ha destacat \u201cSi alguna cosa defineix, hist\u00f2ricament, el Ball de Dames i Vells \u00e9s<strong> la s\u00e0tira que vol\u00a0 posar en evid\u00e8ncia, davant els ciutadans i ciutadanes, les febleses, abusos i defectes de la societat del moment, en to d\u2019humor<\/strong>. I, si b\u00e9 l\u2019objectiu fonamental no \u00e9s l\u2019humor en si mateix, el Ball de Dames i Vells utilitza aquest recurs amb gran habilitat per fer-ho atractiu al gran p\u00fablic amb la intenci\u00f3 de produir canvis i millores en el fet criticat.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Menuda Tapias<\/strong>, representant del Ball de Dames i Vells ha rebut el guard\u00f3 del Premi Balc\u00f3 2023
